Creating and Developing Characters with Writers
Sometimes it can be helpful, when creating imaginary people, to give them a real astrological chart. This allows the artist to discuss the person as if s/he were real and it allows the astrologer to consider what kind of ‘back story’ might have created the personality which is expressed by the character. It also helps keep the character culturally consistent because casting a chart requires an actual date and location. A character born in 1948 will have a different generational backdrop than one born in 1970. This consideration is always part of a horoscope.
I absolutely love engaging in this process with an artist. It’s a bit like helping God create Adam and Eve. Not that i am inflated or anything…
